Ralph Miller, CFP®

I was born and raised in the Triad, where community service and helping others were core values in my home. My mother dedicated her career to public education, and my father operated his own welding business while volunteering extensively in civic organizations and serving in the USAF Reserve. Their example shaped my commitment to service, integrity, and hard work.

I earned a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University and a Master of Education from the University of Virginia. I am the proud father of four children and grandfather to five. My wife, Carolyn, is also a lifelong educator and volunteer, and together we share a deep appreciation for family, service, and community.

Before entering the financial services profession, I worked in two service-oriented careers focused on helping others. Life events and personal milestones reinforced for me how critical it is to plan intentionally for both the present and the future. Those experiences led me to transition into financial advising, where I could combine education, guidance, and strategic planning in a meaningful way.

I view my role as an educator, advisor, and guide. Earning my Certified Financial Planner designation strengthened my ability to provide comprehensive planning and thoughtful risk management. My calling is to care for the financial well-being of the families I serve and to help them prepare confidently for life’s many possibilities.

Joining Allegacy was a defining moment in my professional journey. The culture of collaboration, integrity, and member focus aligns closely with my personal values. I am grateful to work alongside dedicated teammates who are committed to serving our hardworking credit union members.

My life and professional experiences have equipped me to help others think ahead, plan strategically, and prepare for the unexpected. It is a privilege to walk alongside members as they pursue their long-term goals.
